My name is Pranav Ramesh, and I am a high school student from Connecticut.

I have been coding since my dad introduced Scratch to me when I was 8 years old. I had the opportunity to later be part of a FIRST Lego League team since seventh grade. I was the lead programmer and robot designer, my team advanced to the FIRST World Championships in my 2018.

This encouraged me to self-study more programming languages, such as Swift for app development, Java for my high school robotics team, JavaScript for backend development, and Python and C++ for competitive programming.

I have placed in the Gold Division of the USA Computing Olympiad and the Google Code Jam competition. I was the top scorer of my school in the American Computer Science League.

I have also developed iOS apps and published them on the Apple App Store. My apps include GeoScholar, an essential geography bee preparatory guide, Scholar.ly, a GPA and standardized test calculator, and Gene Xpress, an app that simulates the formation of proteins from DNA sequences.

I wrote and published The Python Starterpack (available on Amazon), an introductory Python programming book that is the essential guide to any aspiring programmer who wants to learn the fundamentals of Python 3. In addition, I teach basic and advanced Python coding classes to students to raise money for important causes including the fight against COVID-19, and have donated to foundations such as the CT Food Bank, AID India, and UConn Health.
